To Whom it May Concern
Captain Nick Bates agreed to speak at the Hospitality Industry Trust Scotland Lunch at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa, Edinburgh. This is a major event in the hotel industry's calendar and is now in its 15th year and attended by around 400 senior people from the industry.
Getting the balance right between wit, humour and relevant content is of central importance. Nick executed this perfectly and testament to this is the outstanding score given by guests in the post-event evaluation - 90% rated him as excellent which is the highest we have ever had for a speaker in the history of the event.
Easy to work with, flexibility of content and an all-round highly interesting and engaging speaker – some of the attributes that made choosing and working with Nick so straightforward.

Dear Nick,
I am writing to thank you very much for the very entertaining talk you gave at our recent annual general meeting. You certainly had the room enthralled with the stories of your life as an Officer and Captain. It was also inspirational when you mentioned that you had followed your ‘bliss’ to do something that you enjoyed which obviously led onto a most rewarding and fulfilling career.
Ian and I have both enjoyed reading your book and I hope your kind gift of a copy for our next raffle will help to raise more for funds for the order.
Thank you again for giving up your time to provide an interesting and amusing finale to our AGM.
Best wishes,
Vivienne
